2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Review, Dimensions, MPG

2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Review, Dimensions, MPG   –  The 2025 Lumistiq pays homage to the brand’s most recognizable luxury cars while also providing the best look yet at Cadillac’s future off the road. Although some competitors have targeted quick acceleration and agile handling, the Lumistiq is happy to cruise, a feature we believe brand loyalists will value as they trade in their shabby DTS sedans and SRX SUVs in favor of becoming green. This monster isn’t even sporting a Blackwing badge, after all. The Lumistiq shares technology with the formidable GMC Hummer EV pickup truck, yet they are very different from one another. It is powered by GM’s Ultium scalable battery design.

The Caddy has a lower profile thanks to its elegant bodywork, and its inside is much nicer. Behind the wheel is a sleek digital display that flows into the infotainment display in the middle of the dashboard with a subtle curve. At an estimated 308 miles per charge, the driving range is competitive, and all Lumistiqs include standard DC fast-charging to maximize the use of America’s expanding public EV charging network.

Exterior and Interior

An elegant interior design gives the Lumistiq a high-end appearance. On the door panels and central console, open-pore wood is mixed with metallic brightwork. Bright blue leather upholstery lines a sizable storage tray between the driver and front passenger, adding a playful flash of color. The production Lumistiq has a more conventional rear bench seat, despite the concept car having just four seats and a central console that splits the two front and two rear seats along with a touchscreen for the backseat occupants. In addition to using cutting-edge noise cancellation technology to lessen road noise, the Lumistiq’s lack of a gasoline engine undoubtedly contributes to its peaceful interior.2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Interior

2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Specs

Similar to the Escalade, the Lumistiq’s dashboard is dominated by a massive 33.0-inch curved advanced LED touchscreen that doubles as the infotainment system for the SUV and the driver’s gauge display. For drivers who dislike touchscreens, the infotainment system can also be operated by a click wheel located on the center console. Standard features include a Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. All models include a rich-sounding 19-speaker stereo system from the premium audio specialists at AKG.2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Review

Engine and Performance

back-wheel drive is standard on the Lumistiq, and it has an electric motor on the back axle that has 340 horsepower. The Lumistiq feels snappy and accelerates adequately for an entry-level configuration, but it lacks the strong sensation found in competing SUVs like the Tesla Model X and the BMW iX. The rear-wheel-drive Lumistiq reached 60 mph at our test track in 5.7 seconds, which is slower than competitors’ electric vehicle times but still quite fast for a mid-size SUV. An additional front motor is added to the 500-hp dual-motor all-wheel-drive drivetrain as an optional feature to drive those wheels. The all-wheel-drive Lumistiq reached 60 mph in 4.6 seconds on our test course.  2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Review2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Engine

Drivers who are enthusiasts will not be pleased with the Lumistiq’s road manners. Even while the Lumistiq feels secure and capable in its handling, it lacks excitement when driven hard. Its brake pedal is similarly tactless as the steering, which is nicely weighted. Fortunately, Cadillac has designed an aggressive regenerative braking system that permits one-pedal driving. In most everyday driving situations, simply depressing the accelerator pedal slows the car down sufficiently to prevent applying brake pressure. On flat pavement, the ride is pleasant, but on bumpier sections of the road, some people could find the suspension to be a little too hard.

2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Fuel Economy

The EPA estimates that the rear-wheel-drive Lumistiq is good for 92 MPGe city and 82 MPGe highway. All-wheel drive drops both of those numbers by 1 MPGe. In our admittedly lead-footed hands, we recorded 72 MPGe in mixed driving with the rear-wheel-drive model but got 77 MPGe with the all-wheel-drive one.  2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Review

2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Safety Features

Cadillac endows the Lumistiq with driver-assistance features as standard, but the brand’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system requires a subscription. Important safety components probably consist of:

  • Typical automated emergency braking that detects pedestrians
  • Normal lane-departure alert with assistance for lane-keeping
  • With a free-hand driving mode, adaptive cruise control is available.  2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Review

2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Price and Release Date

Depending on the trim and extras, the 2026 Cadillac Lumistiq might cost anywhere from $58,590 to $63,190. The Lumistiq’s base price is for the single-motor Tech level, which includes a fixed glass roof, 20-inch wheels, faux leather upholstery, a big and curved 33.0-inch digital dashboard display.

We advise upgrading to the midrange Luxury trim, which brings with it a number of desirable options, such as Cadillac’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system, wood interior trim, heated front seats and steering wheel, and adjustable ambient interior lighting. For the 500-hp Dual Motor AWD vehicle, which also has a 3500-pound towing capacity, we would also advise springing capacity.  2025 Cadillac Lumistiq Review
