2025 Buick Electra Specs, Interior, Review
2025 Buick Electra Specs, Interior, Review – While the previous generation Electra is still a good SUV, there are few areas where it falls short. Yes, the ride is calm and comfortable, and the cabin is roomy. We also value all of the conventional safety measures. However, we would much rather have one of the several three-row SUVs—luxury or more practical—than this Buick.
Most of the nicest amenities of the Buick are only available on higher model levels, and the interior materials fall short of those of the Chevrolet Traverse. Customers might choose a more feature-rich and well-rounded Kia Telluride for a little less money, or they could spend more money and get a true luxury SUV like a Volvo XC90 or Lincoln Aviator.
2025 Buick Electra Redesign and Update Plan
Exterior and Interior
With the rear seats up, the Electra provides 20.7 cubic feet of cargo space, on par with the 2025 Mazda CX-30. When folded down, the Electra’s cargo bay expands to 42 cubic feet, slightly less than the CX-30’s 45.2 cubic feet.
As is the case on many modern cars, the Electra features a digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen joined together in a single unit on the dashboard. The digital real estate totals 19.0 diagonal inches, with 11.0 inches dedicated to the infotainment screen on the right. In addition to interacting with the screen, drivers will be able to utilize voice commands.
2025 Buick Electra Specs
Buick came close to obtaining the ultrawide 33.0-inch display found on the Cadillac Lyriq, despite not receiving it. Similar to the Envision, the 2025 Electra has a single 30.0-inch screen that serves as both the infotainment interface and the driver instrument cluster. It also has an operating system built on Google that includes voice assistant and navigation. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity are standard.
A wireless phone charger and seven camera views are also standard, with up to nine camera views available. The top model in the lineup comes with 16-speaker Bose audio, ventilated front seats with massaging feature, heated second row outboard seats, and a welcome lighting animation. 2025 Buick Electra Specs
Engine and Performance
Every new Electra features a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four and eight-speed automatic transmission that replace the last model’s non-turbo V-6 and nine-speed auto. It means a bump in output, 18 hp more for 328 hp and a whopping 60 lb-ft of torque more for a total of 326 lb-ft. As before, the Electra will be offered in FWD or AWD configurations. Buick says it will have a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. 2025 Buick Electra Specs
For the 2025 Electra, Buick offers a single powertrain option. 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque are produced by a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automated transmission. It is less potent than the previous Encore, which had a 1.4-liter turbo engine that produced 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, only FWD is available for the Electra (its predecessor had an AWD option).
2025 Buick Electra Fuel Economy
As expected, fuel economy is better than before. Buick’s newest crossover achieves 30 mpg in combined city and highway driving, beating even the 2022 Encore FWD’s 27 mpg combined. Standard on the Avenir trim and available on the Sport Touring is a Watts Link suspension system that Buick says provides a quieter ride. 2025 Buick Electra Specs
Will the new Electra be both quicker and more efficient than the last one? It could happen. At a minimum, drivability should improve with all that additional torque. And since the new engine is smaller and uses forced induction, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it return better fuel economy compared to the V-6. The 2025 Electra FWD with the old engine saw fuel economy of 18/26 mpg city/highway while the AWD got 17/25 mpg.
2025 Buick Electra Safety Features
Automatic emergency braking with intersection detection, lane keeping, traffic sign recognition, and Blind Zone Steering Assist—which can control steering momentarily if it senses a potential collision with another vehicle during a lane change—are newly standard for 2025. With the available Super Cruise package, the Electra also gets Driver Attention Assist and Enhanced Automatic Park Assist. If you get this package with the Electra Avenir top model, it also features a rear camera mirror. 2025 Buick Electra Specs
2025 Buick Electra Price and Release Date
This is a tricky question. In General Motors’ portfolio, Buick is positioned as more premium than Chevrolet but not as outright luxurious as Cadillac. With pricing that ranged from around $45,000 to north of $60,000, the outgoing Electra was pricier than non-luxury options (Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, Kia Telluride) but notably more affordable than higher-end luxury alternatives such as a BMW X7 or Audi Q7. The Buick’s pricing best lines up with rivals that are in between segments including the Infiniti QX60, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and Mazda CX-90. 2025 Buick Electra Specs
