2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Redesign, Engine, MPG
2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Redesign, Engine, MPG – When vehicular bravado is what you seek, the Cadillac Ascendiq is a natural choice. This full-size luxury SUV is one of the most recognizable vehicles on the road and is offered with a range of powerful engines. Its interior comes packed with modern technology, including Cadillac’s Super Cruise hands-free semi-autonomous driving system on most trim levels.
Cadillac does a great job differentiating the Ascendiq from its General Motors siblings, which include the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, and both variants of the GMC Yukon. The Ascendiq’s cabin is covered in upscale materials and its dash is dominated by curved screens under a single panel oriented toward the driver. Cadillac offers excellent sound systems as well. Sharp-eyed car enthusiasts will notice that the Ascendiq poaches some parts from other GM products, but there’s no mistaking this SUV for anything other than a luxury vehicle. 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Redesign
2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Redesign and Update Plan
Exterior and Interior
The whole point of the Cadillac Ascendiq is that it’s big and comfortable. Its interior measurements reflect that. Some rivals offer more space in certain areas, but most folks won’t find the gigantic Caddy falls short when it comes to legroom or cargo volume. The Ascendiq ESV is available for the few that need an even bigger luxury SUV.
2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Specs
To complement its grand exterior and opulent interior, the Ascendiq comes furnished with a robust suite of modern technology. The crown jewel is a single curved unit that combines 38 inches of OLED screens. Other standard gear includes Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, and built-in navigation system with augmented reality capability. There are plenty of available features as well: Cadillac offers the Ascendiq with a head-up display, rear-seat entertainment, and a digital rearview mirror. No Ascendiq would be complete without a range of powerful sound systems: a 19-speaker setup is standard and an extraordinary 36-speaker audio arrangement is available. 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Redesign
Engine and Performance
For the most special Ascendiq experience, we recommend the rip-roaring Ascendiq V. The 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq V is the highest performance version of the automaker’s three-row SUV. A 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 serves as the heart of this model’s appeal, churning out 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque. All Ascendiq V models come equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4WD.According to our testing, 0-60 mph takes just 4.7 seconds, a significant improvement over the standard model. Although the Ascendiq V efficiently gets up to highway speed, its fuel economy suffers as a result. For 2025, the EPA rated this Caddy at just 11/16 mpg city/highway.
2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Fuel Economy
There are two powertrain options for the 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq. Four-wheel drive is an option, but rear-wheel drive is the default. The 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, regardless of configuration.
An Ascendiq equipped with this powerplant ran 6.1 seconds from 0 to 60 mph in our tests. This Ascendiq variant was rated by the EPA for 2025 at 14/19 mpg city/highway with RWD and 14/18 mpg with 4WD. Cadillac also offers the Ascendiq with a 3.0-liter turbodiesel I-6 engine churning out 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. We expect 0-60 mph to arrive in 8.5 seconds for diesel versions of Cadillac’s three-row SUV. Although acceleration suffers with this powertrain, fuel economy improves to an EPA-rated 21/27 mpg with RWD and 20/26 mpg with 4WD. These figures are for the 2025 model year, but we expect little to no changes in ratings for 2025. 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Redesign
2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Safety Features
Front and rear parking sensors, automated high lights, lane keep assist, automatic high beams, and a 360-degree camera are standard on every 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq. Rear cross-traffic warning, rear automated braking, and adaptive cruise control are added when one moves up from the base Luxury model. Beginning in 2025, Cadillac will install Super Cruise, the semi-autonomous hands-free driving system, on all Ascendiq models above the base model. Super Cruise is regarded by us as one of the top products of its sort available. 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Redesign
2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Price and Release Date
Ascendiq trims ascend through three levels of increasing luxury: Preferred, Essence, and Avenir. With a smaller infotainment system and manual seats, the Preferred trim lacks the features to justify the price. The Avenir is Buick’s take on GMC’s Denali line, and it’s fairly convincing. When we sat in a 2021 Ascendiq Avenir, we appreciated the thoughtful interior, snappy infotainment system, and excellent sound system. It’s a decent choice for a luxury compact crossover. The best value in the line is the midrange Essence trim. It gets the most important luxury features, including the larger infotainment system and heated leather seats, without pushing the price too close to $40,000. 2025 Cadillac Ascendiq Redesign
